The Newfoundland Club of South Australia, Inc. (NCSA) is an affiliate club of Dogs SA (The South Australian Canine Association, Inc). The aim of the Club is to act in the best interests of the Newfoundland breed.

    Breed Information
The Club's activities in this area include the provision of the Breed Information Booklet and other resources accessed through the NCSA website. We also attend activities such as the Adelaide Animal Expo The Club's Puppy Parenting Handbook is a very useful resource for prospective and new puppy owners and it may be obtained by contacting the Secretary at The Puppy Parenting Handbook is $10 (not including postage).

The Club does not give breeder referrals however you can contact Dogs SA at or visit the Newfoundland breed page on for breeder listings

    Conformation Shows
The NCSA's Championship Dog Show is usually held annually in July.

    Social Activities
For many years  the Club has held monthly beach walks during the cooler months. These are usually followed by a leisurely coffee break.  Annually there has been a get together with fun activities and an educational aspect eg., a demonstration of grooming, training tips, canine massage, handling a large dog in emergency situations, acupuncture for arthritis, ear care, nail clipping and advice re summer precautions.

The NCSA has the most comprehensive range of Newf merchandise in Australia and it is sent all over the country and occasionally overseas.  The sale of Newf merchandise has been a major fundraiser and subsidises a range of Club activities. All prices are in Australian dollars. Please email to order and include your postcode for freight costs. Payment can be made either by cheque/money order or by bank transfer.

The Club provides a Rescue Service to assist Newfoundlands in need of rehoming. The Club also gives an annual donation to the Health Challenge of the Newfoundland Club of America which financially supports research into conditions affecting the breed.

    Photo Gallery
This is your Newf's chance to shine. Send your favourite photos along with a short caption or story of not more than 50 words to the Secretary. The Photo Gallery will be updated regularly so keep sending in those new shots!

If you would like your Newf to feature as The Newf of the Month - once again send in a photo and a description of the character, likes & dislikes and endearing(?) habits of your Newf (150-200 words).
